Supporting the Deaf Community

Dr. Goldstein is among the few psychologists in Ontario who are fluent in ASL and knowledgeable about Deaf culture. She provides therapy and assessment services in ASL, making mental health support more accessible for the Deaf community.

Therapy in ASL

Dr. Goldstein provides therapy in American Sign Language (ASL), ensuring Deaf and hard-of-hearing clients can fully express themselves in their primary language. Direct communication in ASL supports a stronger therapeutic connection, reduces misunderstandings, and creates a safe and inclusive space where Deaf culture is respected and valued.

Assessments in ASL

Psychological assessments are also available in ASL, allowing for clearer communication and more accurate results. By offering assessments directly in ASL, we reduce language barriers that can affect testing outcomes and provide evaluations that truly reflect the individual’s strengths and needs.
