Dr. Ana Bahamonde

Psychologist (Interim Autonomous Practice)

Meet Ana

Ana Bahamonde has many years of experience working internationally in various school settings both as an educator and counsellor. She provides family psychoeducation to support the therapeutic process of children and adolescents. She specializes in social emotional issues that arise in the developmental stages, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, obsessive-compulsive disorder, defiance, and stress. She also has experience treating adolescent psychosis. Ana provides empirically supported treatments such as cognitive behavioural therapy, brief solution focused, sand tray therapy, play therapy, and art interventions in both English and Spanish.  She works with children, adolescents, and adults and provides both psychotherapy and ADHD, Autism, Mental Health assessments.

Ana has a Master’s in Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) of the University of Toronto and a Master’s in School Counseling from Lehman College in New York.  She obtained her PsyD degree in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University, U.S.A., and completed her residency at the Psychiatric Unit of Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital in New York.
